Sri Lanka have appointed a new consultant coach ahead of their Test series against South Africa for the World Test Championship (WTC).
Neil McKenzie, who was with Bangaldesh since July 2018, has stepped down from his role as batting coach due to the coronavirus pandemic.
MzKenzie said that the South African batsmen will have to counter the wrist spinners in order to cut down the element of surprise.
The South Africa team received a surprise visit from ex-captain Graeme Smith during their Champions Trophy training session.
"The only positive thing is playing the Scorchers (Perth) first because they're not a subcontinent side. So they'll also be happy to adjust to the conditions. It will be even for both teams," McKenzie, who will be discharging his duties in the middle-order, told mediapersons.
While one team is yet to lose in the tournament, the other will have home fans backing each player to the hilt. It promises to be a cracker of a final come Sunday.
