Parvez Ghulam Rasool Zargar Profile

Hailing from Jammu and Kashmir, Parvez Rasool is an all-rounder who made his first-class debut against Himachal Pradesh in 2008 and suddenly grabbed all the limelight a few years later.

Rasool had a fabulous domestic season in 2012-13, leading the batting as well as bowling charts for his team in the Ranji Trophy. In just seven games, the youngster scored 594 runs at an average of 50-plus, along with 33 wickets at an impressive 18.09 average. Further, he was quickly drafted in the India A squad to face the mighty Australians in a warm-up game. The talented all-rounder had no reason to disappoint, as he claimed a seven-wicket haul to dismantle the Aussie batting attack. Immediately after his success with the A team, Rasool was signed up by the IPL franchise Pune for the tournament's sixth edition, thus making him the first player from his state to do so. Rasool made history by becoming the first ever player from Jammu and Kashmir to be included in the national squad for the Zimbabwe series in 2013. Rasool will be playing for the Hyderabad franchise in the seventh edition of the India T20 League. He was bought by them for 95 lakh in the 2014 player’s auction. He has been in some scintillating form in buildup to the 2014 Indian T20 League. He recently scored 139 runs and took 5 wickets in a domestic tournament.
