Zimbabwe's Brian Vitori was suspended on Thursday after the ICC adjudged that the fast bowler uses an illegal action, just months after resuming his career.
Vitori's excellent figures of 5/61 are the second best by a Zimbabwean bowler vs Pakistan in Zimbabwe in Tests, next only to the six for 90 by Heath Streak at Harare in 1995.
Pakistan made a late fightback in the final session to dismiss three Zimbabwe batsmen in the last three overs as the host were 121-4 at the close.
Zimbabwe, beaten by 221 runs in the first Test at the same venue last week, were 237 for eight at stumps on Day 1. Masakadza made 75 while Taylor scored 51. Junaid Khan took 3/55 for Pakistan.
Zimbabwean paceman Brian Vitori's second successive five wicket haul limited Bangladesh to a total of 188 all out in the second of the five match one day international series here on Sunday.
Zimbabwe and Bangladesh ended a competitive second day with the Test finely balanced between the sides. Bangladesh batted with a similar caution to the one Zimbabwe's batsmen implemented on a pitch that remains good for batting but offers something for the bowlers as well.
