Having been around the domestic circuit for a number of years, Raghu Sharma has built a reputation as a disciplined leg-spinner. He began his professional journey with a first-class debut for Punjab in the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy. In 2021, he made his T20 debut for Puducherry before returning to Punjab, where he built a strong reputation in red-ball cricket.
Raghu made a mark in the 2024-25 Vijay Hazare Trophy, picking up 14 wickets in eight matches, but faced the disappointment of going unsold at the 2025 IPL auction. Opportunity came when Mumbai Indians signed him as a mid-season injury replacement for Vignesh Puthur. Although he did not feature in a game, the franchise showed faith in his potential by retaining him for the 2026 IPL season.
