Hasan Nawaz

Raised in an environment with minimal cricket infrastructure, Hasan Nawaz initially honed his skills playing tape-ball cricket before moving to Islamabad to live with his sister and pursue formal training. At 14, he joined the Lashings Cricket Club and steadily progressed through the Islamabad Cricket Association (ICA) system, earning a place in the ICA Under-19 side. Known for his tall frame, clean striking, and power-hitting, he established himself as a dynamic middle-to-top-order right-handed batter.

Hasan made his entry into professional domestic cricket in 2022, starring for the Mirpur Royals in the Kashmir Premier League before being named in Northern's squad for the 2022-23 National T20 Cup. His impressive domestic form earned him a Pakistan Super League (PSL) debut with Islamabad United, followed by a successful stint with Quetta Gladiators in 2025, where he scored 399 runs in 10 innings, including his maiden PSL century.

His international breakthrough came in March 2025 when he was named in Pakistan's squad for the white-ball tour of New Zealand. Hasan made his T20I debut on March 16, 2025, at Hagley Oval, Christchurch. Just five days later, on March 21, 2025, he struck a record-breaking maiden T20I century - an unbeaten 105 off 45 balls - becoming the youngest Pakistani to score a T20I hundred and recording the fastest T20I century by a Pakistan batter.

Following his T20I exploits, Hasan made his ODI debut against the West Indies in August 2025, guiding Pakistan to victory with an unbeaten 63 in a tense chase. He continued to represent Pakistan in white-ball cricket throughout 2025, including appearances in the UAE Tri-Nation Series, the Asia Cup, and home bilateral series against South Africa and Sri Lanka.

In 2026, Hasan broadened his white-ball experience across domestic and international franchise circuits. In August 2026, he turned out for Pakistan Whites in the List A National Champions Cup, scoring a half-century (55 off 74 balls) against Pakistan Gold. He then represented the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons in the 2026 Caribbean Premier League (CPL), showcasing his power-hitting with notable knocks, including 76 off 48 balls against the Trinbago Knight Riders.

In September 2026, he was named in Pakistan's 15-member men's cricket squad for the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, serving as a key middle-order boundary-hitter in the national lineup.
