Himmat Singh Profile

A dependable presence at the crease, Himmat Singh has built a strong reputation in domestic cricket. Before making his way to the senior squad, Himmat proved his talent by playing for Delhi across several age-group levels, including the Under-16, Under-19, and Under-23 teams, as well as representing the North Zone at the Under-19 level.

He made his List A debut as a 19-year-old during the 2015–16 Vijay Hazare Trophy. His early career featured some off-field drama but Himmat stayed focused on his cricket, eventually making his first-class debut during the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy season and his T20 debut shortly after in early 2018.

Over the years, Himmat became a highly dependable player and a natural leader for Delhi. His consistent performances earned him the captaincy of the Delhi Ranji Trophy team. Under his leadership in early 2023, Delhi achieved a massive milestone by defeating Mumbai in a Ranji Trophy match for the first time in 43 years. He also led the East Delhi Riders to a championship victory in the first-ever Delhi Premier League in 2024.

That success paved the way for his return to the IPL after a five-year gap, having earlier been part of Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2019. During the 2025 season, he made his much-awaited IPL debut for Lucknow Super Giants against Gujarat Titans and was retained for the next season.
