Phew! Two close games, two last over finishes, this was a proper humdinger of a double header! Mumbai first beat Bangalore in the final over to consolidate their top position. It was Ben Stokes then who led a brilliant recovery to see his team through. Woah, we all need a break. There is only one game tomorrow, for a change, Delhi host Hyderabad at 2000 local (1430 GMT). We look forward to your company. Until then, goodbye and take care!
Man of the Match, Ben Stokes says that he has a cramp in his calf and he gets them a lot so hopes to be fine tomorrow morning. Calls it great to be part of both sides of the game and says that it is the best part about being an all-rounder. Admits that they lost quite a few early wickets but he and Dhoni were happy to take it over by over and it worked off. Calls it one of the good days. On his maiden ton, says that it's always nice to get personal accolades but hopes that the team can continue to do well and go through to the final. Mentions that the break was actually good as he got his practice routines right which he thought were slipping away. Is happy that he put those into practice today.
Steven Smith starts by saying they didn't get an ideal start but feels they recovered big time. Emphasizes on the partnership between Stokes and Dhoni and continues praising Stokes to take them over the line. Further says the bowlers can't be kept out as they are the ones who pulled things back to restrict a heavy batting unit to a respectable total. Adds they have played some good cricket recently and hopes they continue to do so. Ends by lauding Stokes yet again and opines he is one of the quality players in their ranks.
Suresh Raina is really disappointed with the loss but feels they did well. Appreciates Stokes for anchoring the innings and taking the game away from them. Admits they were surely below par which in the end cost them the game. Lauds the efforts of Sangwan and Soni for the way they bowled. Ends up saying they still have four games to go and would look to take the responsibility a bit more. Hopes they can turn things around.
Just when Dhoni wanted to hit out, he departed to Thampi. Stokes though showed his class to play one of his best knocks in colored clothing. Pune will be delighted with the win as it puts them in a really good position on the points table. They bowled well earlier on with Imran Tahir and Jaydev Unadkat taking three wickets each to restrict the visitors. Stokes failed with the ball but stepped up with the bat to earn them two vital points. Stay tuned for the details from the presentation.
Stokes - there was so much debate about him, whether he did deserved the price tag or not, whether he was good enough or not. But boy, how well has he performed to shut his critics up. Gujarat will feel knocked over, they bowled well for the most parts of the game but could not dismiss the southpaw. Pradeep Sangwan struck twice in the first over to set the tone. Dhoni and Stokes though set the platform with a 76-run stand.
Gujarat have been Stoke'd! What a knock this has been from the Englishman. To take your team home, scoring your maiden T20 ton, with your team in dire straits at 10 for 3. Take a bow, Ben Stokes! This has been some, some knock. Today is also the Maharashtra Day and both teams from the state have won. This particular game though shall be etched in memories of many, many people involved in the history of the Indian T20 League.

SIX! It's gone the distance! The crowd has gone bonkers and the Pune dugout is all smiles! Faulkner serves a length delivery and Daniel Christian swings at it hard to dump it over mid-wicket for a maximum. What a chase! PUNE WIN BY 5 WICKETS!

Back of a length delivery outside off, slapped towards sweeper cover for a single. Stokes on strike, can he finish it off with a biggie?

Leg bye! Looks to reverse sweep but the ball goes off the pads towards the leg side. James appeals for an LBW but the umpire turns it down. They take a leg bye.

FOUR! Ben Stokes, kudos to you! Maiden Indian T20 League ton for Ben Stokes! He's absolutely pumped up, so is the crowd and we too! A belligerent innings from the Englishman this! Faulkner serves it full outside off, Stokes smashes it past a diving extra cover fielder for a boundary. Is that the match?
James Faulkner to bowl the final over of the game. Pune need 8 runs in 6 balls. There are two people down flat on the ground. Stokes is getting some treatment on his leg. Brendon McCullum is getting a massage on his back. Big last over, coming up. Let's see how this goes.

Length ball outside off, Stokes slaps it to point for a single. He is clearly struggling and is down in agony at the bowler's end. He's on 98! Pune need him to recover!

SIX! Kaboom! This is some power! Ben Stokes, you beast! A good length ball on off, Ben makes room and mauls it with all his might down the ground towards long off. For a moment I thought long off would take it but sorry, it's too good for Finch there. A biggie, equation now reads - 9 from 7 balls.

Slower one around middle, Daniel drags it off the inner half towards mid-wicket for just a single. 10 already scored off the first 4 balls. 15 needed now from 8.

Basil Thampi To Ben Stokes
Jadeja, you freaking beauty! That's a classy stop! He was the man who dragged the game into the Super Over last against Mumbai and now puts in a excellent slide to save two this time. Stokes nails the pull in front of square on the leg side and Jadeja in the deep comes across to his left and slides full length to save it. Then gets up and throws it back. They check if he has made connection with the rope, he hasn't. Sir Jadeja, take a bow!
Third umpire is referred to check if Jadeja touched the ropes while trying to save a boundary at deep mid-wicket.

Pradeep Sangwan To Ben Stokes
Dwayne Smith saves two! What an effort! Sangwan will be happy to get away with this one. Doles a juicy full toss on middle, Stokes swings hard at it and it seems like it will race away towards the deep mid-wicket fence. But hold on, Dwayne Smith in the deep mops it up and then fires a good throw towards the bowler to keep them down to two. Outstanding effort!

Pradeep Sangwan To Daniel Christian
In the air... falls short! A slower one around middle and leg, Christian is decieved by it as he looks to loft it down the ground. Chips it in the air towards mid on and a sprinting McCullum from long on fails to get to the ball. A couple taken.
