We are unable to bring you the news from the presentation. So, that's all we have from this match. The second ODI will take place on 29th December, 2016 at 0330 IST in Nelson. Do join us for that. Until then, goodbye and take care. Cheers!
On the other hand, Tom Latham was the standout performer with the bat as he steered the Kiwis to such an imposing total after the loss of Guptill and Williamson early in the innings. He was well supported by Munro and they managed to record the joint highest total at the venue. So the home team have started off with a win and they will be looking to continue with the momentum while the visitors will try to undo this game and come back stronger the next time.
The home team started off really good with the ball as they constantly kept picking up wickets at regular intervals. Neesham got into the act straightaway as he scalped a couple of wickets in the first over he bowled and was well supported by the pacy Ferguson who was clocking some really quick deliveries today.
NEW ZEALAND WIN BY 77 RUNS. The Kiwis have rattled out the visitors in just a little less than 45 overs. They were the one who were holding the upper hand the moment the second innings started. No real threat was posed by the Bangladeshi batsmen. Rahim and Shakib did build a partnership which was ended by some real quick bowling by Ferguson. Rahim was unlucky not to get to his fifty as he got retired hurt on 42. Mosaddek Hossain will be the only positive from this game for the away team as he got to his maiden half century.
