Right. That ends another thrilling game. India earn their third win and romp into the semis. Who will be the next team? New Zealand? Australia? Or someone else? It is a tough passage. The second game of the day is between Australia and Bangladesh which will begin at 7 pm local (0800 GMT). Do join us for that game.
Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian skipper, says that it is a great feeling and they have learnt a lot from the last three games. On batting better in overs 7 to 15, Kaur says that they got a good start but they could not carry the momentum forward. Stresses that they kept on repeating the mistakes in all the games. On the bowling, the Indian skipper says that they bowled well but sometimes they struggled to hit the right lines and lengths. On Shafali Varma, Kaur hopes that she continues performing well as her runs at the start is really important for them.
Sophie Devine, the New Zealand skipper, says that she thought that the bowlers did a terrific job and to restrict India to 133 was an amazing effort. Adds that the pitch looked a bit pacy but they failed to adapt. Praises Hayley Jensen for her performance. States that they got pretty close today but failed at the last moment. Goes onto say that they would take the positives from this game.
Shafali Verma, the Player of the Match, says that she is very happy with her performance and she wants to keep doing that for the team. Adds that they were not giving any loose balls and she was just looking to take singles and doubles. Credits her father and the boys in her academy where she trained for her good performances.
The White Ferns would be disappointed, not because of the loss but the mannerism of the defeat. They bounced back superbly after a strong second-wicket stand by India but then, kept dropping catches. Adapting to slow, turning pitches has been a challenge for many teams and the opponents are increasingly finding it difficult to play the Indian spinners. Four spinners played in this game and their combined figures were 16-0-106-4. Shikha Pandey, the lone seamer, did well with figures of 4-0-21-1. Please stay tuned for the presentation...
Kudos to New Zealand for fighting hard and taking this close but they could have won if, had the fielding been better or had the batting against spinners got going. As has been the case throughout the tournament, India crossed 130 and then defended it. They bowled better and fielded exceedingly well.

Shikha Pandey To Amelia Kerr OUT!
OUT! Confusion in the end but INDIA WIN AND ARE THROUGH TO THE SEMIS! Pandey bowls this full and outside off, Amelia gets across, looks to swing but misses and is hit on the pads. The ball deflects to the off side and all they can manage is just a leg bye. Shikha quickly gets to the ball and fires a throw at the keeper's end. Hits and it is referred upstairs. Replays show that Jensen was looking for the second while Kerr was not interested at all. VICTORY BY 3 RUNS!

Deepti Sharma To Amelia Kerr
TWO RUN OUTS MISSED ON THE SAME BALL! Full and outside off, Kerr drives this straight back to the bowler. Jensen is backing up too far and is gone for all money. But Deepti, for all her time-taking and under-arming, misses the stumps at the bowler's end. They go for the single now and mid on quickly gets to the ball. Because Jensen tried to get back, she is a bit late in taking off. The throw comes in to the keeper's end but it hits Jensen who comes in the way.
