That is all we have for you from this game. The home season for India in 2018 ends here. They have been thoroughly dominant and now go to Australian shores, for probably their best chance to win abroad. Windies travel to Bangladesh to test their skill and talent. We look forward for your company later. ADIOS! TAKE CARE!
Victorious Indian captain, Rohit Sharma, says games like these happen and he has been part of such games (Last-ball finishes). Further adds it is important to finish on the winning side. States they were not complacent and wanted another win. Admits there are always chances of improvement and handling pressure situation is one place where they have to improve, especially the youngsters. Ends by saying they were good in all three departments throughout the series.
KULDEEP YADAV HAS BEEN NAMED THE MAN OF THE SERIES. He is not here, so Yuzvendra Chahal takes the award on his behalf.
SHIKHAR DHAWAN HAS BEEN NAMED THE MAN OF THE MATCH. He says that he finally got a big score tonight but he has been happy with his performances. Mentions he knew he had to be there till the end. Credits the way Pant played. States that the latter was going after the bowlers and he was happy to play second fiddle. Ends by saying he is happy with how he played tonight and the critics do not matter to him.
Windies skipper, Carlos Brathwaite, says that every game matters and they wanted to win this one. Further adds they did not get the result they wanted but played well to take it down to the last ball. Credits the way Dhawan and Pant played. Reckons there were a few balls which gripped on this wicket but they could not execute their plans. Ends by saying they have a lot of young and promising players and he hopes to create a formidable side with them.
The Windies have struggled to contain the Indian batsmen in this series. Tonight was no different. No one could exercise control and the last-ball finish was purely due to India's clumsiness. Keemo Paul and Fabian Allen though, can hold their heads high. Please stay tuned for the presentation...
Rishabh Pant says that he feels lucky tonight but is happy that he got a fifty. Mentions it was not easy early on in the innings but as the innings progressed it got easier. Further adds that he wanted to finish the game but could not do so. States that he looks to play according to the situation. Ends by saying he is happy to contribute to the team's win.
It was a period of shot-hitting where Pant was hitting paddles and reverse paddles. However, even when he got out, India needed 7 runs from 10 balls, which should have not been a worry. However, the Indians dragged this into the last over and Dhawan got out too, which made it tricky for India, needing 1 from the final ball. All due to one bad shot from Rishabh Pant, who was nervous for those last 10 balls. Here he is, having an interview with Sanjay Manjrekar.
The two left-handers started slowly, but then began getting on with it. Runs started to come in large numbers in an over, as high as 18, 16, that too, consistently. Dhawan went on to get his highest T20I score while Pant managed his first T20I half century and the 130-run stand sealed the deal for India. Nearly.
New match, same old problems for India. One of their top 3 needs to fire. It was Rohit the other night, it was Dhawan tonight. The southpaw made sure that the Windies never went into ascendancy mode, after picking up 2 wickets in the Powerplay and found an able partner in Rishabh Pant.
A whitewash by India. But they almost made a mess of it. Pant and Dhawan kept the home side comfortably ahead in the chase but almost let it slip.

MIX-UP BUT INDIA WIN! Hard luck for Allen. He is on his haunches, heartbroken. Pandey pushes this towards mid on and sets off for a quick single. Allen hurries to his right but fumbles. Mid-wicket comes running in but Pandey and Karthik steal the run by then. VICTORY BY 6 WICKETS!
1 run needed. 1 ball left. Dinesh Karthik is the new man in.
