So that's it from us for this game. India have progressed to become the first team to qualify from Group B. They have joined Bangladesh and England in the semifinals with the fourth team to be decided tomorrow. Sri Lanka and Pakistan will be battling it out for that spot at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff at 1030 local (0930 GMT). Join us for all the action. Until then, cheers and take care!
South Africa skipper, AB de Villiers says that this was not an ideal way to end the tournament as they lost in a disappointing way. Mentions that they wanted to keep calm and play a better brand of cricket. Reckons that the run outs cost them dearly today. Feels that they never got going today. Mentions that they were outdone by a better team. Ends by saying that nothing went their way and they also gave some runs in the field.
India skipper, Virat Kohli says that it was a good toss to win and adds that the wicket didn't change much. Feels that their bowlers bowled well and the fielders backed them up. Mentions that these factors were instrumental in restricting such a strong team to 191. Opines that de Villiers' wicket was crucial as they know how terrific a player he is. Adds that his team stepped up in the field. States that it is important for someone to bat till the end. Reckons that Dhawan's intent was great to see. Further adds that Yuvraj also wanted to stay till the end and it will boost his confidence. Feels that the wicket in Birmingham suits their style of play. Stresses that they need to bring their A game to the fore. Feels there is always room for improvement and one shouldn't be complacent. Ends by saying that any game of cricket one plays, there is always something to learn.
Man of the Match, Jasprit Bumrah says that it was an important game for them and they executed the plans well which worked for them. Mentions that he is ready to execute any role in the team. Adds that he feels good as long as he is contributing. Informs that they were only trying to stick to basics and were looking to bowl good lengths. Feels that it was a good toss to win as chasing has been easier in this tournament.
The South Africa bowlers tried hard but it was a pretty low total that they were defending. Morkel and Tahir were the only ones who took a wicket apiece. Rabada was probing with the ball but the Men in Blue saw him through cautiously. Earlier, the top ranked side in the world didn't play like as if they were one. They collapsed to disappoint once again in a knockout. Kudos to the Indian bowlers and fielders for setting up the game nicely and to the batsmen for living up to their reputation.
An emphatic show from India and they book their place in the semi-final. The Indian openers, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma showed intent from the beginning but a poor shot from the latter resulted in his downfall. The Indian skipper, Virat Kohli came out and took his time to get going. He was struggling a touch but got into his flamboyant self as he settled into his innings. Dhawan on the other end continued his dream run in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy to become the leading run-scorer. His was a free flowing knock which kept the crowd thoroughly entertained. The 128-run stand between the duo almost sealed the deal for the Asian side.

NOT OUT! Floats this one around middle and off, Yuvraj prods forward in defence and he gets rapped on his pads. Gets his bat behind his pad so not sure what made contact first. The players appeal and the umpire stays put. AB de Villiers consults Tahir and goes for the review. The replays roll in. After having a good hard look at it, the third umpire decides that there was an inside edge on that one. The on-field call stays.
AB de Villiers opts to go for the review against Yuvraj Singh. It is regarding an LBW decision.
