So that is it from this game! A fitting farewell then for Masakadza and also, Zimbabwe end the series on a high. However, we have two more games left in this series, one, the game before the finals which is a clash between the two teams playing the finals. The former is on the 21st of September and it begins at 1830 local (1230 GMT). Till then, take care and goodbye!
Hamilton Masakadza, the Zimbabwe skipper comes in for the chat. He says that he is feeling amazing after the win. Adds that he knew the side always had it in them. On asked about their first win against Afghanistan, Masakadza says that it is quite special to pull off a win in his last game. He adds that the team showed lot of fight and they have worked hard from the start. On asked about his entire career, he says that there have been lots of ups and downs. Adds that it is a very special feeling. He also remembers his first Test win as a captain. Masakadza says that he will continue serving Zimbabwe Cricket in whatever capacity he can. He thanks everyone who played a massive role throughout his career.
MAN OF THE MATCH, CHRIS MPOFU, says that he enjoyed bowling on the surface. He adds that on this wicket, taking the pace of the ball helped him. He finishes on by saying that whatever they did went their way.
It's time for the Afghanistan skipper to talk about the game. Rashid starts by saying that they had a great start but couldn't finish it the way they should have. He says that they had a lot of positives in the game and they will take those to the finals. Rashid points that, they are giving opportunities to the youngsters ahead of the T20 World Cup. Rashid opines that the side has different players who can play in different formats. Rashid finishes by saying that they have players who can adapt in all three formats as well which pleases him.
First up, the Zimbabwe skipper Hamilton Masakadza gets a memento for his contribution for the relations between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh. He also gets a memento from Zimbabwe Cricket for his contribution to the game.
Earlier in the day, the Zimbabwe bowlers did extremely well to pull things back after they were taken to the cleaners in the first half of their innings with the ball. That effort in the second half kept Zimbabwe in check and the Rhodesian side bagged their first win of the tournament. Stay tuned for the presentation.
The Afghanistan bowling looked off color today. Maybe they were a touch complacent. None of their bowlers looked at their best. When only one of their spinners takes a wicket, you probably know they haven't been at their best. Overall, not something Rashid Khan will be happy with.
Chasing a total which we thought would be tricky on a wicket which is slightly slow, the Zimbabwe team have done it quite easily. Right from the word go they looked in control of the chase. First, it was the openers who got them off to a brisk start. Then, Chakabva and Masakadza continued the good work with another excellent stand. The skipper got to his fifty, he would have wanted to stay there till the end but could not do so. Chakabva also perished but till then, the game was completely in Zimbabwe's favor. Williams and Mutombodzi ensured there were no more wickets to fall and they took the team over the line.
What a way to end your career! It is under his captaincy, Zimbabwe beat Afghanistan for the first time in T20Is. It is under his captaincy, the long winning streak in T20Is for Afghanistan has been broken and majority of the credit has to be given to Masakadza as he is the hero for his side in this chase.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman To Sean Williams
FOUR! Another boundary in the over and Zimbabwe are on course for their first win in the Tri-Series. Mujeeb bowls short and Williams slogs through the line and finds the gap to perfection as the fielder from long on running to his left cannot reach the ball as it crosses the fence.

OHH! DROPPED! What have you done Mujeeb? He bowls a fuller one outside off, and Williams goes for a drive but hits it uppishly back towards the bowler only for Mujeeb to drop an easy chance in his followthrough.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman To Regis Chakabva OUT!
OUT! CAUGHT! The skipper is always busy. If not in the wickets column then assists his players by holding onto catches. Mujeeb goes flatter and Chakabva slogs him across the line only to find the fielder in the deep. That's another blow as Zimbabwe loose another set batsman.
Mujeeb Ur Rahman is back on!
