Inn Break
That's a wrap - That is all from us from Sabina Park, where Sri Lanka have bounced back in style to level the three-match T20I series against West Indies. With the series now locked at 1-1, everything comes down to the decider on 14th June, Sunday, right here in Kingston, Jamaica. The final T20I is scheduled to begin at 12.30 am GMT, with both sides having one last shot at claiming the series. Join us then for what promises to be a thrilling finish. Until next time, goodbye and take care!
The victorious skipper of Sri Lanka - Kusal Mendis praises his batting unit. First, he starts with Dunit's performance, the way he batted and put the pressure on the opposition really helped the team to post a good total on the board. Then he shifts to Kamil's innings, who played an anchor role for them, which is equally important for them. On being asked about their impactful changes in the playing XI, he says that they wanted to bring the lefty-righty combination in the middle order and that is the reason why they brought Kamil into the team. On being asked about the decider match, Mendis says that they will be ready to face the Windies. They will look forward to keeping things simple and playing basic cricket.
The captain of West Indies - On his stunning catch to dismiss Pavan Rathnayake, Shai Hope says the ball was heading to his right and he simply threw out a hand, with the catch sticking neatly. Assessing the defeat, he feels the West Indies fell short in execution despite having clear plans coming into the game. He admits the bowlers leaked a few extra runs but also believes the batters should have taken more responsibility during the chase. He adds that there are areas the team can improve on and that they will look to address them ahead of the next match. On chasing targets of 160 or more, he stresses the importance of playing to strengths while also adapting to the match situation. He feels the side has enough experience and quality, and that the issue is not poor batting but rather understanding key moments and executing better under pressure. Looking ahead to the final T20I, his message to the team is straightforward: go out and win the game.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH - Dasun Shanaka wins the award for his superb knock of 58 off 24. He starts off saying that this knock was very special for him as they wanted to keep the series alive, and he is happy that they got the win. On his batting approach, he says that from the moment he stepped onto the crease, he wanted to change the momentum of the game. He was asked to play normal cricket shots, and he tried to listen to the coaches' advice. He also adds that Kamil Mishara did extremely well, hitting a couple of boundaries, which made his job easier, and overall, it was a good game of cricket for them.
Presentation Time...
Sri Lanka seize control with the ball - Sri Lanka will be delighted with their bowling display. Dushmantha Chameera and Dunith Wellalage struck early before a chaotic spell, featuring missed chances off Rovman Powell and Shimron Hetmyer, threatened to shift the momentum. However, Pavan Rathnayake's brilliant run out proved a turning point, allowing the spinners to take over. Wanindu Hasaranga picked up 3/38, Maheesh Theekshana removed Powell, and Chameera capped off a superb outing with 3/9 to help level the series.
From collapse to comeback - Earlier in the game, Sri Lanka posted a big total after stumbling to 43/3. It was the 103-run fifth-wicket partnership between Dasun Shanaka and Kamil Mishara that boosted the innings, with both getting to fiery fifties. Shamar Joseph was the pick of the bowlers with a three-fer, while Matthew Forde got a couple and Shamar Springer got one, but they leaked a bit too many at the death.
A chase unraveled - West Indies got off to the worst possible start, losing both openers inside two overs. However, then Rovman Powell and Shimron Hetmyer launched a counter-attack. They did have some luck and made it count by putting together an 81-run stand, but Hettie's run out unraveled the chase, as both got out in the same over and it was a big collapse after that as they went from 108/4 to 122/8. Akeal Hosein and Shamar Joseph did hit a few lusty blows but that was never going to be enough.
We are going to a decider - A dominating performance from Sri Lanka and they have made it 1-1 in the series by completely outplaying the hosts. It is also a big confidence boost for the Lankans as they have broken a four-match losing streak in T20Is. West Indies did have their moments, both with bat and ball, but they just could not handle the pressure and will now have to look at a few things before the final game.

Dushmantha Chameera To Roston Chase OUT!
OUT! TAKEN! A wonderful catch taken by Kamindu Mendis and West Indies have been bowled out, scoring 157 runs. Sri Lanka beat West Indies by 37 runs. Dushmantha Chameera comes around the wicket and bowls on a good length, angling across. Roston Chase opens his stance and heaves it across the line. However, Chase gets the height more than the distance and the ball balloons toward the deep mid-wicket region, where Kamindu Mendis moves to his right and takes an excellent diving catch.

To be honest about the situation, it's a matter of fractions of a second. After watching the replay repeatedly, the third umpire gives the verdict as Not Out. OUT! LBW! Wow, two excellent reviews from Sri Lanka. Big shout for LBW, but turned down again! Kusal Mendis once again goes upstairs after a chat with his bowler. This is a leg-cutter from Dushmantha Chameera, lands this on a good length and on middle and leg, angles in a bit. UltraEdge confirms no bat involved and Ball Tracking comes up with three reds, with the ball hitting the leg stump. The on-field call is changed to Out once more. West Indies lose both openers now.
