England beat Pakistan by 26 runs
Right then! England win the series but there is one more match to go. We move to Karachi for the last match. Join us on the 17th of this month at 1030 IST (0500 GMT) and earlier for the build up. Till then, cheers!
Ben Stokes, the captain of England says the conditions here was different but it was another fantastic game and it was great to be a part of. Mentions it seemed a tricky wicket and he praises the seamers for the way they bowled. Congratulates Abrar but says it was good to score against him. Ends by saying he looks around and sees who is the best option to give him a wicket and he turns to them.
Babar Azam, the skipper of Pakistan says they weren't upto the mark with the bat in the first innings. They fought back well in the second innings but could not finish on top. States they have a plan, they had a couple of good partnerships but in the end, they did not finish well. Adds it is a dream start for Abrar and it is good for the team. Ends by saying they are looking forward to the next game and hope to win it.
Harry Brook wins the Player of the Match award. Brook says he tried to learn from his mistake and tried to be a little less aggressive and still put pressure on the bowlers. Adds they knew it would turn and they weren't surprised but they did not bat as they wanted to in the first game. Mentions they just wanted to play with intent and put pressure on the bowler.
...Presentation coming up...
In reply, Pakistan were in a good position when Azam and Shakeel were batting but then came the Leach show. From 142 for 2, Pakistan were bowled out for 202, giving a lead of over 70 to England. Leach finished with four while Root and Wood took two apiece. It was the Harry Brook show for England, in their second innings. As his ton helped them stretch the lead to over 350 and that really proved to be a vital ton as Pakistan just lost by a narrow margin. Not to forget the innings from Ben Duckett and Ben Stokes. Pakistan were in the chase for a long time but lost wickets at the wrong time.
This game though has swung from one side to another right from Day 1. After electing to bat, England were in a brilliant position as they were 2 down for around 150 but then were bowled out for 281. Abrar Ahmed on debut was the star for Pakistan as he ended with a seven-fer.
It was the seamers who did the job for them yet again. Wood in particular, he was the star for the visitors. The game was drifting away from them when Mohammad Nawaz and Saud Shakeel were batting but Wood got them both in quick succession, he also got Zahid Mahmood and it was Robinson who sealed the deal with the last wicket. Salman did fight but he just kept running out of partners.
That is a famous win for England! 3 and a half days of hard fought cricket and it is England who finish on top and also bag the series. Top, top performance from them.

OUT! EDGED AND GONE! Unsurprisingly, Ali takes the review. However, the celebration starts again as the Ultra Edge shows a spike on it. ENGLAND WIN THE SERIES! Ollie Robinson serves a length ball, angling around off and nips away a touch. Ali is drawn forward to defend but gets an edge to the keeper. An appeal and up goes the finger. The review is taken but as expected in vain. England win by 26 runs.

We are back. A big session awaits for both teams. James Anderson to restart with the ball.
...DAY 4, SESSION 2...
Pakistan still need 64 runs but the only known batter out there is Salman. He will be under tremendous pressure. England on the other hand need three wickets to seal the series. We feel the next session will give us the results. Join us back at 1310 IST (0740 GMT) for the second session.
A huge, huge session for England. It was Pakistan who bossed for most of the time but the last three overs which included the wicket of Mohammad Nawaz and Saud Shakeel has turned the tide in England's favor again. Two balls down the leg side which could be avoided but the Pakistani batters went after it. Before that, Pakistan were motoring very nicely, both Nawaz and Shakeel were calm and rotating the strike. However, England believed that the wicket is just around the corner. Mark Wood was introduced and the pacer took both big wickets.

Mark Wood To Saud Shakeel OUT!
OUT! TAKEN! The third umpire feels that is a clean catch and Saud has to walk back! Is that the final nail in the coffin? England are into the bowlers now. It is Wood yet again who does it with the short ball tactic. This is short and down the leg side. Saud looks to pull, this goes off the glove and to Pope who dives and takes it. An appeal. The umpire has a chat with his partner and then takes it upsatirs with the soft signal being out. Replays are difficult to say whether the gloves are under the ball or not and in the end, it is ruled in the favor of the visitors. A superb knock from Saud. He deserved a ton but now walks back.

OUT! Gloved and taken! Wood breaks the stand that was taking the game away from England. Still 65 more needed. Drinks! Pakistan need 109 more runs to win. It looks comfortable the way these two are batting however, England will be aware that one wicket is what they needed to pile the pressure. They need to change their plans though as the current ones are not working. The second new ball is available now. Will England take it? Yes, the have. Ollie Robinson to bowl now.

The equation is simple, Pakistan need another 157 runs and England need to pick the remaining two wickets. It is all about one partnership for the hosts whereas for England, they'll be hoping they can keep striking on regular intervals like they have been doing. Will it end 1-1 or will England seal the series.
... DAY 4, SESSION 1 ..
Now Pakistan bat deep but their batting is quite fragile, they would know one more big partnership is all they need to put England under huge pressure. For England, they will come out all fresh on Day 4 and also with the second new ball available in a few overs, they will believe they can record a famous win. Do join us to what promises to be an enthralling 4th and also could well be the last day of the Test. The action begins at 1015 IST (0515 GMT). The build-up begins a lot earlier. Till then, take care and goodbye!
It has been a day of fight backs. After bowling out England earlier in the day, Pakistan began really well with the bat. It was Rizwan who opened due to an injury to Imam and he along with Abdullah Shafique gave the hosts a good start. However, things changed immediately after Lunch as Pakistan lost three in no time and were pushed on the back foot. Saud and Imam though then put up a 100-plus stand with both scoring half tons to turn the tide in their side's favor. Pakistan surely would have ended the day on top had they not lost Imam but it was Leach who had the last laugh by getting the left-hander late in the day.
Well, the umpires yet again feel the light is not good enough to continue and off the players and the umpires go! THAT SHOULD BE STUMPS! This game is brilliantly poised for Day 4! Pakistan need 157 and England need 6 wickets. Probably England will feel they have the upper hand but we feel, Pakistan have a really good chance here.
