Sai Kishore To Angkrish Raghuvanshi
Good running again. Quick and flat, at the stumps, hoicked away towards deep mid-wicket for a couple of runs.
11.3
1
Sai Kishore To Cameron Green
Dropped a bit short and outside off, cut away in front of point for a single.
Allen's fun comes to an agonising end. He goes 7 runs short of what would have been a special hundred. But he has provided a solid base for the middle order to cash in. In walks Cameron Green at number 4.

W
Sai Kishore To Finn Allen OUT!
OUT! CAUGHT! Finn Allen's reign of terror comes to an end, and no one will be breathing a bigger sigh of relief than Mohammed Siraj. Sai Kishore comes over the wicket and flights it outside the line of the leg stump, keeping the length full. Allen makes a bit of room and flicks it high towards deep mid-wicket. There's not enough power on it, and Rashid Khan takes a well-judged catch just inside the ropes. End of a top-knock and also a 95-run stand for the second wicket.

1
Sai Kishore To Angkrish Raghuvanshi
Floated up around the pads, not all that full. Raghuvanshi works it through square leg and smartly turns the strike over.
Goodness, that was a massive over. The biggest of the evening in terms of runs conceded. GT are really under the pump. Sai Kishore (1-0-16-0) to continue.

FOUR! Allen gets a hold of this one and zooms into the 90s. Arshad goes full and wide again, but Allen is waiting for it. He moves late to the off side and laces it over extra cover for a boundary. 22 off the over.

Arshad Khan To Finn Allen
A change in line from Khan, bowled full and angled well wide of the off stump. Allen fails to reach it.

6
Arshad Khan To Finn Allen
SIX! Too straight again and Allen has put it away without a fuss. Full and on the pads, Allen stays a bit low and picks it up, dumping it in front of square leg for a third biggie in the over. Allen has moved into double-digits in terms of maximums in this innings.
10.3
0
Arshad Khan To Finn Allen
Much better length from Arshad Khan. Fuller and a bit too straight on the legs, but Allen flicks it straight to the man at backward square leg.
There's a mini-conference going on in the middle. Shubman Gill and Mohammed Siraj walk to have a chat with Arshad. Possibly discussing what lengths to bowl to Allen. Good to go.
10.2
6
Arshad Khan To Finn Allen
SIX! That's clean ball striking from Allen, but the length's all wrong from Arshad yet again. Fractionally short, angled across off stump. Allen hangs on the back foot and swats it flat over cow corner for his ninth six of the game.
10.1
6
Arshad Khan To Finn Allen
SIX! That's just bread and butter for Finn Allen. Short of a length, on the leg stump line. Allen leans back and just swings it mightily over deep square leg for a biggie.
Halfway through the first innings. KKR are in a dominant position, and GT might be chasing a monster if they don't break this partnership as soon as possible. There's not much turn on the pitch by the looks of it. Now then, Arshad Khan is called into the attack, replacing Jason Holder.

6
Sai Kishore To Finn Allen
SIX! Finn Allen is just dealing in sixes, his seventh of this innings. Tossed up on leg, Allen dances down the pitch and just clubs it across and over deep mid-wicket for a maximum. Not off the middle of the bat, but good enough. That dropped catch is proving really costly for GT right now.
9.2
1
Sai Kishore To Angkrish Raghuvanshi
Slightly dragged length, around middle, no turn on offer. Raghuvanshi backs away and punches it square through the off side for a run.
9.1
2
Sai Kishore To Angkrish Raghuvanshi
Flighted full, and angled into the pads. Raghuvanshi leans on and works it away wide of long on. The initial call is for two and the batters race back with ease.
Allen looks in a destructive touch, and GT are playing the catch-up here. Here's Sai Kishore into the attack, replacing Rashid Khan.

Jason Holder To Angkrish Raghuvanshi

1
Jason Holder To Finn Allen
Holder just drags the length back by a few inches and attacks the stumps. Allen heaves it off the inner half of the blade down to long on for one.

SIX! BANG! Allen is on fire out there. Pitched up full and on off, in the hitting zone. Allen clears the front leg and whacks it across and over cow corner for a biggie.
8.1
1
Jason Holder To Angkrish Raghuvanshi
Well bowled. Good length, slanted in towards middle and leg. Raghuvanshi nudges it off the inside half of the blade and down to deep backward square leg for one.
STRATEGIC BREAK! If the Powerplay was even-stevens, the next two overs have completely swung the momentum KKR's way as they have managed to score 29 runs off those. Gujarat Titans have been uncharacteristically sloppy in the field tonight, dropping a batter like Finn Allen twice. Only time will tell how much that will cost GT. Allen has already started to cut loose while Raghuvanshi is steadying up nicely, and this partnership has hopped to 41 runs. The Titans will be more than desperate to break this alliance and take control back in this middle phase. Jason Holder (1-0-11-0) to continue after the break.

Turning into the pads, on a good length. Finn goes back in the crease and flicks it away through mid wicket for a single.

4
Rashid Khan To Finn Allen
FOUR! And that will be FIFTY for Finn Allen off just 21 balls. Finn was watchful at the start but has picked up the pace and will be aiming for a big score. Fractionally short, on off and middle. Allen presses back and powers it down the ground. Jason Holder sprints to his left from long on and slides to push the ball away from the fence. The ball threatens to trickle into the fence and Nishant Sindhu converging from long off tries to prevent the boundary but fails to do so.
7.2
6
Rashid Khan To Finn Allen
SIX! Overcorrection from Rashid and Allen cashes in. Dragged down by Rashid, on middle. Allen goes on the back foot in a flash and pummels it way over mid-wicket for half a dozen more.

6
Rashid Khan To Finn Allen
SIX! Rashid Khan has been greeted into the attack with a biggie. Rashid starts with a flighted delivery, on middle. This is too full and Allen takes full toll. He swings through the line and tonks it over long on for a six.
Double change? Yes. Time for Rashid Khan to roll his arm over. He replaces Kagiso Rabada.

6.5
1
Jason Holder To Finn Allen
DROPPED! A sitter goes down. Mohammed Siraj is the guilty party. Holder bends his back and generates a bit of lift off the deck because of his height. This is around off, Allen stands tall to flat bat it down the ground. Spoons it towards long on, where Siraj takes a couple of steps in off the ropes and bends to take the catch over his right shoulder in reverse cup style. The ball bursts through his hands and drops behind him. Single taken. How costly will this drop prove to be for the Titans?

Kagiso Rabada To Finn Allen
Wide! Rabada spots Allen moving across the stumps for the scoop and pushes it away from the batter. Finn tries to get his hands in line with the ball and angle it past short third but misses. Kagiso Rabada is not happy with the wide call and Gill challenges the wide call. The replays show that the ball was beyond the return crease on the off side and there was no bat involved. The call of wide stays.
5.2
lb
Kagiso Rabada To Angkrish Raghuvanshi
A decision that could have gone either way. Rabada attacks the front pad and gets the ball to jag back in off the surface. Raghuvanshi leans across the line of the ball to clip it away on the leg side. He plays all around it to get hit on the flap of the front pad. A loud shout, but it has been turned down. The ball rolls away in front of point and the batters sneak in a leg bye. Shubman Gill has a chat with the bowler and the keeper before going for the review. The angle seems to take the ball past the leg stump. UltraEdge shows no bat but the Ball Tracking has the ball clipping the leg stump. It is umpire's call. The on-field decision has been upheld but GT retain their review.
Review time! That did seem to have kept a bit low. A loud shout for LBW is turned down, and after a long discussion, Shubman Gill does take the DRS. The third umpire checks UltraEdge first and there's no bat involved. Ball Tracking shows the wickets as umpire's call and the on-field call stands. NOT OUT!

A single and KKR are underway! A bit of tail in on the leg stump line, on a length. Rahane clips it behind square on the leg side for an easy run to get off the mark.
All in readiness for KKR's 100th IPL game at Eden Gardens, and it is former KKR skipper, Eoin Morgan, who rings the bell, signalling the start of the play. The umpires are the first ones out in the middle, followed by the players of Gujarat Titans. It will be the duo of Ajinkya Rahane and Finn Allen to open the innings for the Knight Riders. Mohammed Siraj has the new ball in hand, and he's raring to go. Let's play..
Impact Sub options for GT - Rahul Tewatia, Glenn Phillips, Anuj Rawat, Prasidh Krishna and Kumar Kushagra.
Gujarat Titans (Playing XI) - Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill (C), Jos Buttler (WK), Jason Holder, Washington Sundar, Nishant Sindhu, Rashid Khan, Arshad Khan, Kagiso Rabada, Sai Kishore (In for Rahul Tewatia), and Mohammed Siraj.
Impact Sub options for KKR - Vaibhav Arora, Ramandeep Singh, Tejasvi Singh, Rovman Powell and Matheesha Pathirana.
Kolkata Knight Riders (Playing XI) - Ajinkya Rahane (C), Finn Allen, Cameron Green, Angkrish Raghuvanshi (WK), Manish Pandey, Rinku Singh, Sunil Narine, Anukul Roy, Varun Chakaravarthy (In for Vaibhav Arora), Saurabh Dubey and Kartik Tyagi.
The captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders - Ajinkya Rahane says they are taking it one game at a time and will see how things unfold. He feels the team is playing really good cricket and that the guys are clicking together well. Rahane shares that they took positives from the last game. On the toss, he says that he would have bowled first as well, noting there is a little bit of moisture in the surface. Feels that the wicket will not change much due to the breeze, but he is unsure about the dew. Jinx informs that Varun Chakaravarthy is back in the side for tonight.
The captain of the Gujarat Titans - Shubman Gill says that there has been a bit of rain around, and it looks a bit sticky. Is hopeful that it will get better in the second innings. Gill mentions that if you want to win championships, your bowling unit needs to do well, and their bowlers have been on fire. On their current form, Gill hopes that they continue in the same way, and they cannot take any team lightly at this stage of the competition. Shubman further mentions that it is an added advantage for teams finishing in the top two, which they will look to do and ends by informing that they are going with an unchanged side.
TOSS - It is time for the coin flip at Eden Gardens. Both captains, Ajinkya Rahane and Shubman Gill, are out in the middle. Ravi Shastri will lead the proceedings. Rahane will give the coin a flick and Gill will make the call. Shubman calls it right. Gujarat Titans have elected to BOWL first.
GT's Sai Sudharsan is up next - On surpassing 500 runs in an IPL season for a third time in a row, Sudharsan says that he is really grateful and happy, but it's all about constant hard work. Adds that they are slowly peaking at the right time, but there is still room for improvement and they will look to get better. On playing at Eden Gardens, he says that it is a lovely ground and such an iconic Test venue, which means a lot to him. On a bit of rain around later in the day, he says that they aren't a team that doesn't plan too far ahead and will look to assess the situation as the game goes on.
Word from KKR's explosive opener - Finn Allen shares that it has been a really good group to be a part of, saying it speaks volumes about the way they have come back. He welcomes the challenge of needing to win 3 from 3 and believes that it helps them keep things simple. Mentions that it has been special being in purple this year, having experienced the crowds who even come to training. Speaking about his approach with the bat, he says that he tries to be still and react to the ball. Reckons that if he starts thinking too much or premeditates, he gets into trouble. Allen prefers chasing as it helps in knowing what rate you need to go at. Adds that the wickets this year have been uncertain, where you don't really know what a good score is, and overall, they have done better this season while chasing.
PITCH REPORT - Aaron Finch says that Eden Gardens is hosting a game after almost a month. He mentions that the square boundaries measure 63 metres on one side and 64 metres on the other, with the straight boundary standing at 73 metres. Eoin Morgan says the ground staff have done an excellent job despite inclement weather over the last 48 hours. He observes a nice covering of grass and believes the bounce will remain consistent. Morgan expects there to be some assistance for the seamers early on due to the cooler conditions and wind blowing across the ground. He adds that 180-190 should be a good score and opines that chasing is the way to go.
Team updates - KKR badly missed the services of Varun Chakaravarthy in their previous match against RCB due to a hairline fracture on his toe, which ruled him out. Though he bowled in the nets in the practice session, there is no official update regarding his participation in this fixture. As for the Gujarat Titans, no injury concerns to speak of, and given they are riding a massive winning streak, there is absolutely no reason to tinker with what is working, unless the conditions force them to make some changes. Stay tuned for the toss and team sheets.
Pitch expectations - And speaking of conditions, Eden Gardens this season has been a pacer's paradise. Of the 43 wickets to have fallen here, 27 have gone to the seamers against 16 for the spinners. That split suits Gujarat rather nicely, because their pace attack has been the most prolific in the tournament this season, 72 wickets and counting. KKR's pacers, by contrast, have managed half that figure. But it is not all one-sided. KKR's spin attack hugely trumps GT's, and these contrasting strengths on both sides could well be the defining factor in this one.
And that’s a century at Eden - The match ain’t even started, mate! Well, it’s not for any player, but a special occasion for the Kolkata Knight Riders, who are all set to play their 100th IPL match at the Eden Gardens, their beloved home. They have overall had a fantastic record playing here, winning 55 and losing 42. However, in the last 10 completed matches, they have won only four of those. And this being a milestone match for them, they would like to make it more special with a win in front of their faithful. Facing them are the Titans, who have been terrific travellers this season, winning four of six away matches. And even across their brief five-season IPL history, they carry a promising record on the road, winning 22 of 34 away games.
Scenarios in the City of Joy - Fortunes can change quickly in this sport, only if there is enough conviction and hunger to go with it. Gujarat Titans are the best example of exactly that. Hovering in mid-table for much of the season, they have since found another gear entirely. Five wins on the trot, and a sixth would not only take them to the top of the standings but also seal their playoff spot while strengthening their case for a top-two finish. Their hosts, KKR, are also in the ascendancy, but the first half of their season was so underwhelming that even four wins from their last five have not been enough to breathe easy. They are hanging off a cliff, with the sword of elimination still dangling over their heads. One defeat tonight, and the road ahead gets tougher.
S19, E60 - Seems like just yesterday when the season started, but here we are. Within a blink, we are into the 60th match of IPL 2026, and this takes us to the Eden Gardens, almost after a month, for a very exciting clash in the making. It’s the Kolkata Knight Riders taking on the Gujarat Titans on a Super Saturday. A lot is at stake, so grab your popcorn and hop along in this exciting ride with us. On that note, hello and a very warm welcome to our coverage.
... MATCH DAY ...
The Titans march to the Eden - IPL 2026 is in its final furlong, and the finish line is getting crowded. No team has punched their playoff ticket yet, and with every passing evening, the math gets messier and the nerves get rawer. Eden Gardens, silent on the IPL front for nearly a month, roars back into the picture for Match 60, as Kolkata Knight Riders take on Gujarat Titans. Every game from here is a knife edge. One stumble, and a playoff spot can be at risk. Two points, several what-ifs - Five losses had KKR's season on life support. Four consecutive wins right after that brought it back somewhat. Well, they are in a much better place than they were in the first half of the season. However, with that loss against RCB in their recent game, they are now right back on the edge. Eighth on the table with nine points, and three games left, there is no margin for error whatsoever. Win all three and the ceiling is 15 points, which, brutally, may not even be enough to walk through the playoff door, as they will need other results to also go their way. For the Gujarat Titans, though, there’s no such urgency. With 16 points already bagged and sitting pretty in the second spot, they need at least one win from the two remaining matches to make it through to the knockout stage. The max they can finish is 20 points, and they would want to ensure a top-two finish to have two cracks at the finale clash. But, it is not going to be an easy ride for them as KKR have peaked in their recent matches, and despite a defeat, they will be primed to avoid the double over them from GT. Bowlers holding the fort - KKR failed to defend 192 against RCB, and badly missed the services of Varun Chakaravarthy, who was benched due to a niggle. However, when both Narine and Chakaravarthy have operated in tandem, the Knight Riders have been a different beast altogether. Three of their last five outings have been bowling-first wins, and in each of them, they have kept the opposition firmly under 170. The mystery twins have made the middle overs their happy hunting ground by spinning webs that few have been able to escape. Narine, in particular, has been downright miserly. His economy of 6.64 is the best among all spinners this season, a number that makes the old fox arguably the most valuable bowler. Chakaravarthy sits second among KKR bowlers with an economy of 8.62, and the team would hope that he is fit enough to feature in this fixture. But silently, almost under the radar, a young fast bowler has been making a serious case for himself. Kartik Tyagi is having the best IPL season of his career, and the numbers back it up emphatically. With 16 wickets to his name, he leads KKR's wicket-taking charts, and an economy of 8.89 in a batting-heavy competition like the IPL tells you he is not just picking up wickets in easy situations. KKR have backed him consistently, and that trust is now paying rich dividends. In a bowling attack headlined by two world-class spinners, Tyagi has quietly carved out his own identity as the third pillar. Wrinkles to iron out - While their bowling has been their strength in recent games, their batting issues seem to be recurring again and again, especially in the Powerplay. They rank among the sides that have shed the most wickets inside the first six overs this season, and not once has their opening pair survived long enough to bat beyond the Powerplay together. Though the likes of Finn Allen, through his 100* (47) have single-handedly won them games, their returns in the restrictions have been underwhelming at best. However, the middle order is beginning to find its footing. Rinku Singh is back in form and looking every bit the finisher KKR need him to be. A couple of half centuries in winning causes speak for themselves, and his presence in the lower middle order gives the side a genuine sense of calm in the chase. Cameron Green, though, has been a bit guilty of not converting his start into something substantial. He has one half-century so far, but has four 30-plus scores as well. Raghuvanshi leads the way - One of the rising stars for KKR, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, with 4 half-centuries, is the only KKR batter to have crossed the 300-run mark. He continues to repay the faith shown by this franchise. Against RCB in Raipur, he produced his finest innings in the IPL so far, and what stood out was not just the runs but the maturity with which they came. He read the conditions shrewdly, picked his moments, and played an innings of quality to tally his highest score in the IPL. This year, he has also been given the added responsibility of being the team’s first-choice wicketkeeper. Trial by pace - If KKR bring spin, GT bring fire with pace. Their pace unit has been nothing short of ruthless this season, and Kagiso Rabada has led the charge with the kind of relentless brilliance that makes him one of the most feared new-ball bowlers in the world. With 21 wickets, he sits second in the Purple Cap race and shows no signs of letting up. Mohammed Siraj has been an equally potent weapon in the Powerplay, and the dominance of this bowling unit as a whole is best captured by one staggering stat. All of their primary bowlers figure inside the top 12 of the wicket-taking charts this season. And with Rashid Khan back to being his uncanny wizard in the recent games, the threat level of this bowling unit has gone up a notch. And as if that was not enough, Jason Holder has walked in and made GT look even more complete. In just six matches, he has snapped up 13 wickets at an insane economy of 6.35. With him being in the scheme of things, GT are looking far more balanced overall. Dominance with the bat - If there is an epitome of consistency, Sai Sudharsan is the first name that pops up this season. In his last six innings, he has four half-centuries and a century to his name. He is among the only two batters, along with Heinrich Klaasen to have scored over 500 runs this year. Shubman Gill has not been far behind either, and together the two have made batting look like the simplest thing in the world. What sets them apart is not the power or the aggression, it is the elegance. You will not see either of them trying to muscle the ball in anger or throw their wicket away needlessly. It is proper, textbook cricket, clean hits, correct positions, and a deep understanding of what the situation demands. While Jos Buttler has been quiet in recent outings, the sheer dominance of the opening pair has meant it has barely registered as a concern. And Buttler being Buttler, one good day is all it takes for him to completely take a game away from the opposition. You write him off at your own risk. Further down, the middle order is starting to look a lot less like a weak, vulnerable link. Nishant Sindhu has chipped in with decent returns since being slotted in, and Washington Sundar has been quietly excellent, with three scores above 30, including a match-winning fifty against SRH as well. Team form (Last 5 completed IPL games, recent first) - KKR - LWWWW | GT - WWWWW. What to expect? It is the peak of an Indian summer, and the pitches are behaving accordingly. The heat has been relentless, and the surfaces have started to crack and dry up as May progresses. That naturally tilts the balance towards the bowlers. And in these conditions, Narine becomes an even more potent threat than usual. And with a bit of rain in the forecast during match hours, expect the bowlers to have a bigger say. At Eden Gardens, he is not just a bowler, he is an institution. With 75 wickets at this venue, he is the highest wicket-taker at any single venue in IPL history, and no other bowler is anywhere close to that number. And if Chakravarthy gets the all-clear and takes his place alongside Narine, GT will have a real job on their hands deterring this spin double act. Which also means it brings the likes of Rashid Khan on the center stage as well. He is the 9th highest wicket-taker vs KKR with 20 wickets against this opposition in his IPL career, and has the most wickets by any GT bowler against KKR as well. What do the records say? And if that was not enough to chew on, history is not exactly on KKR's side. They have not beaten GT since 2023, and the overall head-to-head record tells a lopsided story, 4-1 in GT's favour. Even at Eden Gardens, a venue where KKR are usually a formidable force, GT have walked away with both encounters. For KKR, this is not just a must-win game in terms of the points table. It is also a chance to finally settle an old score.
