The writing was on the wall for Sri Lanka when India posted a record total of 216/3 after batting first. The defending champions completed the formalities in style by bundling out their opponents for a mere 69. Deepti Sharma turned out to be the pick of the bowlers for India with figures of 3/6 in her quota of four overs. This came after Smriti Mandhana's terrific 79 and Richa Ghosh's fiery 49 not out inspired India to a massive total.

OUT! They have done it! Shreyanka Patil cleans up Kaushani Nuthyangana, and that helps INDIA CLAIM THEIR FIRST GOLD MEDAL Of THE ASIAN GAMES 2026! They beat Sri Lanka by a massive margin of 147 runs. With this win, Harmanpreet Kaur and Co. successfully defend their gold medal.
