For England, Leach was brilliant and Potts yet again impressed. The two bowled long spells and got wickets when the game was drifting away. The two had 8 scalps between them.

New Zealand will be slightly disappointed with how things went along in this session. They were in a really good position to stretch their lead to over 300 but that hasn been their story in this game, they have lost wickets in heaps and it was the same here. From 274 for 5 they have bundled out for 326. Still though they must feel they have got quite a lot of runs on the board and it is because of contributions from Williamson, Latham, Blundell and Mitchell. However, there were hardly any runs from the rest and that will be something the visitors will be disappointed with.

It is Leach who leads his team off the field and why not? He has been exceptional. 5 wickets in this innings and 10 wickets in the whole game. A really commendable effort but England have a stiff target ahead of them as they have to chase down 296 runs.
