Smith cannot believe her luck and Bates starts to walk off, but is made to wait as the umpires want to check the height of that ball. Technology is used to track the flight of the ball and it shows the ball to be dipping, making contact with the bat well below Bates' waist. A quicker one, around middle and off, Georgia Plimmer rocks back looking to nudge this around mid-wicket but misses out completely. Plimmer would have been better off playing this on her front foot. Georgia Plimmer is hit plumb in front of the stumps and the umpire just needed a polite appeal to raise her finger. Plimmer walks across to her skipper for a chat regarding her review but Devine advices her against it. Right call. Ball Tracking shows the ball to be crashing into middle stump. 19 OUT! CAUGHT! The itchiness of Amelia Kerr to up the ante costs her as she hits one straight to Dean. Flighted around off, Amelia Kerr looks to take on the long on fielder once again but fails to get right underneath it and hits this slightly towards the bottom of her bat straight to Charlie Dean at the long on fence. Charlie Dean makes no mistake and glides to her right to take a regulation catch. New Zealand Women are 89 for 2 now. 89/2

33.3 OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Not out was the verdict from the umpire, not out was the verdict from the fielder running in from square leg but dear me, what a brilliant piece of review! On a length, outside off, Sophie Devine came on the front foot and looked to drive this down the ground. But the ball just shaped in a touch after pitching and beat the batter, at least, that is what we all felt initially. The keeper, Amy Jones, upto the stumps, took the ball superbly and put in an appeal for the catch but the umpire shook her hand. The keeper and bowler got together and eventually, NSB signalled for the review. While the English players got together, someone came running in from square leg and shouted, 'That's not out, no edge'. But what does technology say? UltraEdge detects a spike as the ball is near the inside edge and the onfield decision is overturned! 'THANK YOU, SOPHIE' is what Katey Martin says on air, to one of the best servants of New Zealand cricket. 22.4 OUT! CAUGHT! A touch quicker and wide from Sophie Ecclestone. Brooke Halliday goes down on a knee and looks for the slog sweep. Gets a top edge towards Sophia Dunkley at the deep mid-wicket region. Dunkley at first misjudges and runs past the flight of it but does well to adjust, take a few strides backward and collect this in front of the deep mid-wicket fence. Brooke Halliday departs and New Zealand Women are 100 for 4. 101/4

27.4 OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! And this bowler had bowled just 16 overs in this tournament prior to this game! Full toss, around off, Maddy Green looked to drive it straight but could not quite keep it down. The ball went to the left of the bowler who did well to get down to that side and stop the ball. At least, that's what we all thought at first. But then, she started to celebrate and everyone was surprised. Green was going nowhere and waiting for the umpire's verdict. The main umpire had a look at her partner at square leg and walked across for a chat. But just when she was about to signal for the third umpire, the replay came up on the giant screen which showed that Capsey had taken the catch cleanly! Green has been given the marching orders and she departs for 18 (19). From 89/1, New Zealand Women have now slipped to 128/5! 128/5

34.5 OUT! BOWLED! This is falling apart now. Full and straight, Izzy Gaze gets down to sweep but the ball slides through, goes past the bat and hits the off stump. Second wicket for Smith and Gaze departs for 14 (24). From 89/1, New Zealand Women are now 157/7! 157/7

37.4 OUT! JESS KERR IS RUN OUT! Another wicket which looked surprising, with no one much confident, including the English players themselves. It seemed a pretty nonchalant ball, with Lea Tahuhu staying back to the length ball and pushing it towards cover. She called for a quick single and though Jess was not ready for the single initially, she did run across and when the throw came from Charlie Dean to the keeper, Amy Jones, we felt that the run out appeal was more of a formality because Dean herself was not sure! Probably because Jones took the throw and then whipped the bails from behind her back, to her right. Now, that is a good second lost. But because the appeal was made, the square leg umpire took it upstairs. And the replay shows Jess Kerr's bat out of the crease when the bails are dislodged! Jess Kerr departs for 10 (12) and from 89/1, New Zealand Women are now 166/9! 166/9

35.5 OUT! LBW! Fantastic review from England Women as they get the second onfield decision reversed. But this looked plumb to the naked eye, to be honest. On a length, outside off, coming in with the angle, Rosemary Mair stayed back and looked to flick it away but missed. She was hit on the pads right in front of the stumps, and Nat Sciver-Brunt appealed for LBW straightaway, along with her keeper, but for some reason, the umpire stayed put. Without a moment's delay, the review was taken by the bowling side and Ball Tracking shows the ball to be crashing into middle stump. One suspects that the umpire might have felt that Mary had nicked it, but UltraEdge returned a flat line when the ball was close to the bat. Rosemary Mair departs for 0 (3) and from 89/1, New Zealand Women are now 162/8! We still have 85 balls left. 162/8

38.2 OUT! CAUGHT! That is a fine catch and just like that, the innings has come to a close. On a length, outside off, Lea Tahuhu looks to go over the top but ends up slicing it. The ball catches the shoulder of the bat and travels over mid off, but Charlie Dean keeps her eyes on the ball, runs back and takes a fantastic catch over her head. Tahuhu departs for 2 (8) and NEW ZEALAND WOMEN ARE BOWLED OUT FOR 168! 168/10

14.4 OUT! LBW! Something at last for The White Ferns. On a length, outside off, nipping in sharply, Tammy Beaumont gets a big stride in to defend but misses and is hit on the pads. Tahuhu appeals and the umpire agrees, raising her finger. Beaumont wants a second look though and signals for the review. The replay seems to indicate that the bat might have been close to the ball on impact but UltraEdge shows that the ball hit the pad first and then the bat. Ball Tracking shows three reds, with the ball projected to hit the middle stump. Tammy Beaumont has to depart, failing to convert her start of 40 (38) and England Women are 75/1, needing another 94 from 212 balls! 75/1

27.1 OUT! LBW! Hurrah for the legend in what could be her final over in WODIs! That looked so plumb that even Heather Knight, who has had plenty of gos with the review system this tournament, chooses not to review. In fact, Jones has a chat with her, but Knight just walks off, even showing a smile which might have meant, 'Naah. Don't think I can get everything my way.' Jokes apart, coming to the ball, it was full and straight. Knight looks to play across the line and misses, with the ball staying low a touch, getting hit on the pads. Devine appeals for LBW with a smile and the umpire raises her finger in a flash. The 83-run stand has been broken and Heather Knight departs for 33 (40). England Women are 158/2, just 11 runs shy of claiming the second spot in the points table. Ball Tracking returns it as umpire's call on leg stump. Not so straight then, as we felt initially. 158/2
