Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, congratulated Indian shuttlers Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa for winning the Canada Open women's doubles title, saying that he was proud of them for the wonderful victory.
"Very proud of @P9Ashwini & @Guttajwala for the wonderful victory at the Canada Open. Congratulations to the brilliant sportspersons," Prime Minister Modi tweeted.

Jwala and Ashwini won the Canada Open women's doubles title after upstaging the top-seeded Dutch pair of Eefje Muskens and Selena Piek in the summit clash at Calgary in Canada.
The third-seeded Indian pair triumphed 21-19 21-16 in the contest which lasted 35 minutes.
