India's Greco-Roman wrestlers continued their disappointing show at the ongoing World Championship with just one out of four managing to enter the repechage round before losing his bout in Las Vegas. (India End Campaign Without Any Medal in Wrestling World Championships)
Fighting in 59kg category, Ravinder Singh lost to Rovshan Bayramov of Azerbaijan 1-9 in the Round of 1/16 but owing to his opponent reaching the final, the Indian grappler got a chance to fight in the repechage round.
But Ravinder failed to utilise the golden opportunity, going down 2-6 to Yun Won-Chol of North Korea in his repechage bout.
Other Indians in the fray today -- Mohammed Rafiq Holi (71kg), Harpreet Singh (80kg) and Naveen (130kg) -- lost their respective fights in the qualification round itself.
While Rafiq was beaten by Akrem Boudjemline of Algeria 4-7, Askhat Dilmukhamedov of Kazakhstan got the better of Harpreet 2-0 and Naveen went down to Meng Qiang of China 2-6.
