Right-hand batsman, occasional right-arm off-spin ODIs 42, Runs 2,156, Highest 140, Average 59.88, Strike-Rate 93.53, Centuries 7, Fifties 12, Catches 16 Once regarded as a Test specialist, Amla has proved himself as an opening batsman in one-day cricket, able to score quickly with elegant stroke play. He reached 2000 ODI runs in his 40th innings -- faster than anyone else in the history of the game.
