Earlier in the day, Gujarat got to a fine score of 188 on the back of Laura Wolvaardt's fine fifty and handy knocks from Sabbineni Meghana and Ashleigh Gardner. Harleen Deol and Dayalan Hemalatha gave the finishing touches but it wasn't enough for the day. Shreyanka Patil was the pick of the bowlers for the Bangalore side. We have witnessed a Sophie Devine storm at the Brabourne and this has certainly lit up the Women's Premier League.

Not much to talk about the Gujarat bowling. They were taken to cleaners all around the park and had no answer to Sophie Devine's power-hitting. Kim Garth and Sneh Rana were the pick of the bowlers as they took a wicket each. The rest of the bowlers went over 15 runs to the over and had a poor day in the field. The road becomes difficult now for the Gujarat side going ahead and they have lost their fifth game and are languishing at the bottom of the table.
