Virender Sehwag became the second man to score 200 runs in an ODI against West Indies in the fourth match. Coming into the match, Indian openers were under much scrutiny for their show in the series but Sehwag answered his critics in the best way possible; smashing the ball to all corners of the ground.

Sehwag knows only one way to shrug off pressure; attack the bowling side from the onset. Locked at two wins each in the tri series in 2003, India and New Zealand were in a virtual semi final which saw the Kiwis score a competitive 264. Sehwag however ensured that the opposition did not have a sniff at victory as he smashed a 70-ball 100, his first in ODIs to take India to the final.

Sri Lanka have been at the receiving end of Sehwag's wrath on a number of occasions and they were once again put to the sword in Colombo on February 3 2009. Hosts Sri Lanka entered the match looking to get back from being 2-0 down in the five-match series. But it wasn't to be as Sehwag smashed 116 off 90 balls to take India to 363, a score beyond the reach of the Lankans.

Trailing 4-1 in the series, India looked to salvage pride in the sixth ODI against New Zealand in the 2002/03 series. Out of the 200-run target, Sehwag scored 112 runs while opening the innings to take India to a one-wicket win on the penultimate ball. (India were fined 1 0ver for slow over rate)

Chasing a 300-run total is a tough ask on any wicket but when it is an India-Pakistan match, it becomes even more complex. The Delhi opener however was not going to let nerves get the better of him as he smashed 119 runs off 95 balls to take India through in just the 43rd over.
