Stockholm: Danish teen Caroline Wozniacki ousted seventh-seeded Iveta Benesova 6-2, 6-0 in the first round of the Nordic Light Open on Monday. Wozniacki reached the quarterfinals of her third and previous WTA Tour event in February at Memphis. Ranked 362nd, she's received a wild card at all four tournaments. Benesova's fellow Czech, eighth-seeded Klara Zakopalova, was beaten by Martina Sucha of Slovakia 7-6 (3), 2-6, 6-4. The ninth time Zakopalova has lost her opening match this year. Third-seeded Li Na beat Maret Ani of Estonia 6-1, 7-5 in her first match since becoming the first Chinese to reach Wimbledon's quarterfinals. No 5-seeded Catalina Castano of Colombia downed Yuliana Fedak of Ukraine 7-6 (3), 6-4. Bulgaria's Tsvetana Pironkova beat Italy's Nathalie Vierin 7-5, 6-3. The top seed was Anastasia Myskina of Russia, who lost last year's final to Katarina Srebotnik of Slovakia. Myskina faces 2004 champion Alicia Molik of Australia first up. (AP)
