Sania Mirza has been known to be vocal off the tennis court and in a no-holds-barred interview with BBC, she spoke of her travails of being a woman in a "man's world" and also had a word of caution for all those wanting to get intimate details of her family planning aspirations.
Sania and her Swiss partner Martina Hingis have created ripples this season to rise to No.1 in the women's doubles rankings. The unstoppable duo came up with yet another stupendous performance recently to win the women's doubles title at the USD 7 million WTA Finals in Singapore.
It was the pair's ninth title together this season, having also won in Beijing, Wuhan, Guangzhou, US Open, Wimbledon, Charleston, Miami and Indian Wells.
Sania also won the Sydney International in January with American Bethanie Mattek-Sands to take her doubles trophy count to 10 this year.
As the world tennis number one in doubles, she is one of the highest-paid athletes in India. Sania continues to inspire Indian girls and now has her sights on winning a medal in the Rio Olympics next year.
