Countrymen Juan Carlos Ferrero and Carlos Moya vowed to put their friendship on hold after setting up a Hong Kong Open final clash with equally impressive victories on Sunday. The Spanish duo, the number two and three seeds here respectively, dominated their semi-finals to set up a battle that will be vital in their bids to make the lucrative season-ending Masters Cup.Ferrero, ranked six in the world, cruised past French serve-volleyer Jerome Golmard in just over an hour for a 6-4, 6-1 win, his fourth straight-sets victory of the tournament.Moya, the world number 10, had a slightly tougher time against Sweden's Jonas Bjorkman, but still slipped through in straight sets, 6-4, 7-6 (7/1).Ferrero, the man nicknamed the "Mosquito" for his slight build and ubiquitous presence at the baseline, used his heavy top-spin groundstrokes off both flanks to dominate Golmard for the entire match. The Frenchman, ranked 136 in the world but with the scalps of fourth seed Alex Corretja and fifth seed Juan Ignacio Chela here, eventually collapsed in the face of Ferrero's consistency.
