On Tuesday, Galle experienced thunderous rain with ground staff repeatedly rushing to cover every part of the cricket stadium here. The weather forecast has predicted thundershowers for the entire week.
According to the meteorological website Skymetweather.com, repeated rain interruptions are likely to play havoc to the on-field cricket. "Players and fans can expect multiple interruptions during the match. In any case, the entire series will be riddled with multiple spells of rain," reads a report.
