ICC to try out player referrals
The poor umpiring in the second Test between India and Australia has prompted International Cricket Council (ICC) to push for a player-driven appeal system to minimise umpiring errors. The proposed system, where teams can appeal against an on-field umpire's decision for review by the third umpire using TV replays, will come up for trial during the Champions Trophy in Pakistan in September.
