Umadevi Nagaraj wins National Women Billiards Championship 2013
Umadevi Nagaraj from Karnataka claimed another National Billiards title on Tuesday in Manisha National Billiards & Snooker Championship 2013 being held at Gymnasium Hall of Jiwaji University, Gwalior (Org. by Gwalior District Billiards and Snooker Association). This is her fourth national billiards title.

Umadevi Nagaraj from Karnataka claimed another National Billiards title on Tuesday in Manisha National Billiards & Snooker Championship 2013 being held at Gymnasium Hall of Jiwaji University, Gwalior (Org. by Gwalior District Billiards and Snooker Association). This is her fourth national billiards title.
In the final she defeated Keerath Bhandaal (Delhi) 3-1 (70-75, 76-57, 77-44, 77-62). Keerath took an initial lead by winning the first game but after that Uma capitalized and kept scoring as and when she got the opportunity. Keerath tried hard in each game but experienced and reigning world champion Uma pocketed subsequent three games to win the National Billiards trophy that she lost last year.
In the previous rounds, Umadevi defeated Arantxa Sanchis (Maharashtra) 2-0 in semi finals, Chitra M. (Karnataka) 2-0 in quarter finals and Priyanka Gupta (Chandigarh) 2-0 in Pre-Quarter finals.
In Women Snooker event, 21 women from different parts of the country will start contesting from tomorrow morning.
In Men Snooker matches, Monday's hero and local player Nitin Agarwal continued his winning streak and defeated current Junior No.2 player Nitesh Madan (Delhi) 3-1. Nitesh managed to win only opening frame that went till black ball decider.
