TAG Heuer honours Pankaj Advani, Somdev for Sports Excellence

TAG Heuer, leading sports watches manufacturers, presented top cueist Pankaj Advani and tennis ace Somdev Devvarman the Award for Sports Excellence for their contribution to Indian sports on Wednesday.

The awards were presented on the launch of their second boutique in the city. Advani and Somdev along with TAG Heuer President and CEO Jean-Christophe Babin inaugurated the boutique.

The inauguration was followed by the launch of the new TAG Heuer Carrera 'Monaco Grand Prix' Limited Edition watch. Pankaj and Somdev competed with each other on F1 simulators on the occasion.

"This 3,000 numbered and engraved limited edition watch pays Carrera-inspired homage to Monaco - modern motor sports' most exciting, prestigious, dangerous and glamorous race," a release said.

Jean-Christophe Babin said, "From the very beginning TAG Heuer has always supported sports in all forms i.e. from Formula One racing to golf and we have always appreciated the contribution to national pride and honor that sportsmen bring to their country. Pankaj and Somdev have put India on the global map in their respective sports and we are delighted to have them join us today."
