Joshna Chinappa loses in World Squash Championship opener
Joshna Chinappa took a game off from her much higher ranked opponent before going down to Alison Waters 7-11 7-11 11-9 2-11 to exit the tournament.

World number 19 Indian Joshna Chinappa put up a fight but could not avoid defeat at the hands of fourth-ranked Alison Waters of England in the opening round of Women's World Squash Championship here on Tuesday.
Chinappa took a game off from her much higher ranked opponent before going down 7-11 7-11 11-9 2-11 to exit the tournament.
Earlier last month, Chinappa had won her eighth WSA tour event defeating Heba El Torky from Egypt in the final of the USD 15,000 Winter Club Open squash tournament.
The event was not held in 2013 because of lack of sponsors.
India's world number 11 Dipika Pallikal plays her opening match against qualifier Lisa Aitken of England on Wednesday.
