Archer Deepika Kumari named Indian Sportsperson of the Year
The Breakthrough Sportsperson of the Year award went to badminton teen sensation PV Sindhu and cricketer Yuvraj Singh was named the Most Inspiring Sportsperson of the Year.

Ace archer Deepika Kumari was on Thursday named Sportsperson of the Year while cricket legend Rahul Dravid was conferred with the Lifetime Achievement award at the India Sports Awards being Presented by FICCI.
The Breakthrough Sortsperson of the Year award went to badminton teen sensation PV Sindhu and cricketer Yuvraj Singh was named the Most Inspiring Sportsperson of the Year.
In July 2013, Deepika won the gold medal in the stage 3 of the Archery World Cup held at Medellin, Colombia where India finished fourth.
In September, Deepika lost 4-6 to Yun Ok-Hee of South Korea & settled for a silver medal in the 2013 FITA Archery World Cup. This was her 3rd silver medal in as many appearances in the World Cup.
Kumari also entered the history books by winning her sixth consecutive title at the 34th National Archery Championships.
Rani Rampal won the Comeback of the Year award while Baldev Singh won the award in the coach or support staff category.
The team of the year award went to the Indian women's archery team.
Devender Jhajharia was named the para-sportsperson of the year.
