After a grand opening ceremony at the historic Maracana Stadium, Rio Olympics 2016 will get down to business as more than 11,000 athletes, including 118 from India vie for honours. On Day 2 of the Games on Saturday, following is the India-specific Rio Olympics 2016 schedule. Live streaming will also be available.
SHOOTING
5:00 PM IST: Women's 10m Air Rifle event qualification begins at the Olympic Shooting Centre. It features two Indian shooters -- Apurvi Chandela and Ayonika Paul. Both are at their first Olympics.
7:00 PM IST: Women's 10m Air Rifle final starts. If Apurvi and Ayonika make it to the final, they could win a medal. Apurvi is a 2014 Commonwealth Games gold medallist.
9:30 PM IST: Men's 10m pistol event qualification begins. It features Jitu Rai and Gurpreet Singh. If Jitu and Gurpreet qualify, they can finish among the medals. The final rounds will take place after mid-night (August 7, Sunday). Jitu is a medal prospect. He won gold at both Commonwealth Games and Asian Games in 2014.
HOCKEY
7:30 PM IST: Indian men open their campaign against Ireland. India, who recently won the silver at the FIH Champions Trophy in London, will start overwhelming favourites. India have a 4-1 win-loss record against Ireland.
ROWING
4:55 PM IST: Dattu Baban Bhokanal will be in action in the men's singles scull heats

7:30 PM IST: Leander Paes and Rohan Bopanna will start their campaign in the men's doubles championship against Polish pair Marcin Matkowski and Lukasz Kubot. This is a test for Paes and Bopanna's focus after some bad publicity that did the rounds earlier this week.
1:30 AM IST (Sunday): Sania Mirza and Prarthana Thombare will play their women's doubles first round match against Chinese pair of Peng Shuai and Zhang Shuai.
TABLE TENNIS
7:45 PM IST: Women's singles Round 1 match will pit Mouma Das versus Daniela Monteiro Dodean.
8:30 PM IST: Women's singles Round 1 action will see Manika Batra against Poland's Katarzyna Grzybowska-Franc.
12:30 AM IST (Sunday): Men's singles Round 1 - Soumyajit Ghosh plays Thailand's Padasak Tanviriyavechakul
3:30 AM IST (Sunday): Sharath Kamal plays Adrian Crisan of Romania in men's singles first round.
WEIGHTLIFTING
3:30 AM IST (Sunday): Saikhom Mirabai Chanu will be in action in the 48kg class.
