London:
World Number 5 and now Olympic bronze medalist Saina Nehwal said she could not believe Saturday's match and that she came out with a medal.
Trailing China's Xin Wang after losing the first game, Saina got the bronze after the world number 2 pulled out due to a knee strain. "I have never won a match like this before. I still can't believe the match is over and I won a medal," said the Indian shuttler after the match. Saina however did not take a victory lap. (Read here)
With her medal, India now have three and have equaled the highest Olympic tally got by it. "It was my dream to see the flag go up. I will get back to training soon, probably tomorrow," said Saina who now is India's only badminton player to have won a medal in the Olympics.
