US judoka expelled from London Olympics for doping

American judo fighter Nicholas Delpopolo has been expelled from the London Olympics after testing positive for cannabis.

American judo fighter Nicholas Delpopolo has been expelled from the London Olympics after testing positive for cannabis.

The International Olympic Committee says it has disqualified Delpopolo from the men's 73-kilogram class, where he placed seventh.

The IOC says Delpopolo tested positive for metabolites of cannabis on July 30.
