Dhaka:

India bagged two golds, one silver and two bronze medals in shooting at the 11th South Asian Games.

Vivek Singh took the gold and Chandrasekhar Kumar Chaudhary bronze in 25m standard pistol men's event. The two then teamed up with Harpreet Singh for a gold in the team event.

Vivek beat Pakistan's Mustkim Shah, who won the silver medal.

In the women's event, Mampi Das, 13, bagged the bronze medal in the 10m air rifle. Mampi alongwith Shruti Bhatepatil and Tejaswini Muley also won the silver medal in the team event.

Mampi took the bronze medal in the event where Bangladesh's Sharmin Akhter Ranta and Syeda Sadia Sultana won the gold and silver.

In the team event, Bangladesh's Sharmin, Syeda and Tripti Das won the gold, while Pakistan's Nazis Khan, Nosheen Khan and Nasheda Naqvi took the bronze medal.

India, who had dominated the cycling competitions in past three days, had to contend with silver in the men's 170 km event with Sri Lanka winning the gold and Pakistan bronze.

However, all the three competitors - Sri Lanka's Janka Hemanth Gongalage, India's Rajender Bishnoi and Pakistan's Nisar Ahmed -clocked the same time of four hours, 48 minutes and 34 seconds each on the way to their medals.

Though the three winners took same time on the way to distance, the wheels of their cycles touched the finishing line in split difference, Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) reported.
