Danuta Kozak of Hungary won the Olympic title in the women's 500-meter K-1 at Dorney Lake on Thursday, capturing her country's third gold of the canoe sprint regatta.

The two-time European champion won in a time of 1 minute, 51.456 seconds. Defending champion Inna Osypenko-Radomska of Ukraine won silver and Bridgitte Hartley of South Africa took bronze.
