London 2012 Canoe: Kozak of Hungary wins gold in women's K-1 500
Danuta Kozak of Hungary won the Olympic title in the women's 500-meter K-1 at Dorney Lake on Thursday, capturing her country's third gold of the canoe sprint regatta.

Danuta Kozak of Hungary won the Olympic title in the women's 500-meter K-1 at Dorney Lake on Thursday, capturing her country's third gold of the canoe sprint regatta.
The two-time European champion won in a time of 1 minute, 51.456 seconds. Defending champion Inna Osypenko-Radomska of Ukraine won silver and Bridgitte Hartley of South Africa took bronze.
Kozak, who was the quickest qualifier by nearly a second, improved on her second-place finishes at the last world championship and the 2012 European championship. It's her second gold of the games, after being part of the 500-meter K-4 team that won on Wednesday.
Josefa Idem, a 47-year-old Italian competing in a women's-record eighth summer games, finished fifth.
