Islamabad:
The International Olympic Committee could decide on Pakistan's participation in the London Games after meeting with the representatives of the govenment-backed sports board and the Pakistan Olympic Association in Geneva on Monday.
Arif Hasan, a retired army general, was elected as POA president for the third time in February. His election contravenes the Pakistan Sports Board's new policy which imposes a limit of two terms for such positions in national sports federations.
Hasan was unsure if Pakistan's membership would be suspended by the IOC, but outlined before leaving for Geneva that the IOC charter discourages any government interference in the affairs of a National Olympic Committee.
