After Asian win, India's women relay team qualifies for World Championships

The Indian women's 400m relay team, which won a gold on Sunday at the Asian Athletics Championships, has qualified for World Athletics Championships to be held in Moscow from August 10-18.
Supported by Anglian Medal Hunt, M R Poovamma ran a scorching last leg to help secure first position for the Indian team that included Tintu Luka, Anu Mariam Jose and Nirmala.
Poovamma is a part of Anglian Medal Hunt Company's roster of athletes, which was set up to identify and nurture talent in the arena of Olympic sports.
For the Asian Athletics Championships, the company had sent in its physiotherapist, Hari Sankar Varma, to be with Poovamma to aid and support her training.
