MS Dhoni and his Chennai Super Kings teammates took a lap of honour and gave signed balls to fans at the Chepauk Stadium following their victory over Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2024 on Sunday. It was the 50th home win for CSK at the venue and also their final league game in this year's competition. CSK can still play at the venue if they qualify for the final. All the CSK players took a lap of honour and applauded all the fans for their support as the spectators chanted Dhoni's name. The cricketers also hit a lot of signed tennis balls into the crowd which were caught by some of the fans.
Earlier, Chennai Super Kings fans were left intrigued following a social media post from the franchise just ahead of their crucial IPL 2024 match against Rajasthan Royals in Chennai on Sunday. CSK took to social media to post a special message for the supporters - "Requesting the Superfans to Stay back after the game! Something special coming your way!". While most fans commented that the team will take a lap of honour as it is their final IPL 2024 league game at home. However, some speculated that it can be an announcement regarding MS Dhoni's future.
