... THE RUN CHASE ...
Right then! 200 is what Mumbai have to chase and it is a mountain to climb. They have lost five matches on the trot and the onus is on their batters to hand them their first win. Will they be able to do so? Or will Lucknow bowlers step up and hand them another defeat? We shall find out. Stay tuned to see how the chase unfolds.
Manish Pandey is up for a chat. He says it was a typical KL Rahul performance and the team is happy with the performance. Adds that apart from the last over, they were looking at 210 but still happy with the total and he hopes the bowlers do the rest of the job. Tells the wicket is really good and on his innings, he was not much pleased early in the season but he is ready to help his team whenever required.
Mumbai didn't have the best of starts and had to scratch their heads to find the breakthrough initially but the debutant Fabian Allen provided them that in the last over of the Powerplay. They though didn't capitalize on the pressure they created and allowed Lucknow to dictate terms. They had no answers to Rahul's onslaught and found it tough to get going. Jasprit Bumrah though went wicketless bowled a great spell and Jaydev Unadkat too was brilliant in the last over but they will be disappointed how others performed especially Tymal Mills who went for 54 runs in the 3 overs he bowled. That might prove to be costly. It is upto their batters once again to chase this huge score and get their first win of the season.
Lucknow got off to a flying start as both Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul were scoring along well and stitched 52-runs for the opening stand but immediately after that Quinton de Kock departed. KL Rahul and Manish Pandey though consolidated nicely and eased off the pressure. Pandey played well for his 38 but it was Rahul who stole the limelight as he kept smashing boundaries for fun. The foundation was led upfront and KL Rahul being relentless notched up a scintillating century and helped his side put 199 on the board which is a good score on this pitch.
What a knock from KL Rahul! The Lucknow skipper led from the front and that has helped his side put on a huge total on the board. Barring Jasprit Bumrah and Jaydev Unadkat, Mumbai bowlers proved to be expensive and they weren't helped by their fielding either. They again have a huge target to chase and would be feeling some pressure now. Lucknow would feel they have got runs on the board and would be confident of defending it down.
19.6 overs (0 Run) Yes he does, excellent finish from Jaydev Unadkat! A widish yorker, outside off. Rahul leaves it alone anticipating a wide call but it was inside the tramline. Lucknow finish at 199 for 4.
19.5 overs (1 Run) A low full toss, on middle. Pandya mistimes his heave to deep mid-wicket for a single. Rahul will be on the strike now and will face the final delivery of Lucknow's innings. Can Unadkat finish it well?

Jaydev Unadkat to bowl the final over.
18.6 overs (1 Run) Leg bye! Slants it on the pads. Rahul fails to flick it and the ball rolls to square leg for a leg bye.
18.5 overs (4 Runs) FOUR! CENTURY FOR KL RAHUL! He loves to play against Mumbai and he shows his KLass once again. 100 in his 100th Indian T20 League game. A length ball, outside off. Rahul cuts it past point for a boundary. A marvelous innings from the skipper and will look to end on a high now. Removes the helmet and takes all the applause from his teammates.

16.3 overs (1 Run) Wide! Full ball, slanting way outside off. Left alone for a wide.
16.2 overs (1 Run) A length ball from over the wicket and outside off, pushed to long off for a single.
Deepak Hooda walks out to bat.
16.1 overs (0 Run) OUT! IN THE AIR AND TAKEN! Just what Mumbai needed! A full ball, angling across, outside off. Stoinis looks to go downtown but toe ends his shot, in the air and to covers where Rohit Sharma takes a sharp catch.
Drinks! KL Rahul is batting superbly and Marcus Stoinis will also now look to shift gears in these final four overs. Lucknow are in a good position to get over 200 and anything under that might be disappointing. Mumbai have found it tough so far to contain runs but they need their bowlers to do well at the backend and restrict Lucknow to anything below 200.
15.6 overs (2 Runs) Bumrah misses his line and serves a friendly full toss, it is pushed to long on for a couple of runs.
15.5 overs (1 Run) A quick single! Length ball, outside off. Stoinis punches it to the cover fielder and scampers across for a quick single
