Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner got off to a steady start.
Dhawan was caught and bowled by Kane Richardson for 11.
However, David Warner and Kane Williamson tore into the RCB bowling as they stitched a solid stand.
Williamson was in good touch as he notched up his maiden fifty in the Indian Premier League.
Warner missed out on a ton and Williamson fell for fifty as Sunrisers Hyderabad lost their way a bit in the death overs.
RCB struck with quick wickets and it needed some big hitting from Moises Henriques to help SRH to 194/5.
Virat Kohli fell for 14 but Lokesh Rahul played some attacking cricket to keep RCB in the hunt.
AB de Villiers was giving him company but he fell to Barinder Sran for 47 and the RCB innings struggled for momentum.
Sunrisers Hyderabad struck at regular intervals and RCB never got going.
Sachin Baby and Kedar Jadhav delayed the inevitable but RCB lost the match by 15 runs, giving Sunrisers Hyderabad their fourth win in the 2016 IPL.
