IPL: Kolkata Spinners Bamboozle Hyderabad, Take Team up to 3rd Spot

David Warner won the toss and put Kolkata Knight Riders into bat at the Eden Gardens.

Robin Uthappa got off to a trademark stroke-filled start as Dale Steyn struggled to find his length on a sluggish wicket.

Gambhir and Uthappa added 57 runs for the first wicket.

Sunrisers Hyderabad hit back via their spinners - Karn Sharma and Bipul Sharma - who slowed down the KKR scoring rate.

Wickets fell at regular intervals giving Sunrisers an opportunity to restrict KKR to a paltry total.

Yusuf Pathan, however, had other plans. His late order blitz took KKR to 167/7 v SRH.

Sunrisers Hyderabad got off to a terrible start, losing two wickets in the first over.

What seemed like a decent total proved to be too much for Warner's side.

Moises Henriques' knock of 40 was the only consolation for Hyderabad as they fell short by 35 runs.
