For a team that lost four of its opening matches this season, Mumbai Indians staged a remarkable comeback to win the title. That the side outclassed two-time champions Chennai Super Kings in the summit clash makes their win even more spectacular. Little surprise then that the party is expected to have a long list of Bollywood celebrities, apart from fans, at the venue. The entry to the stadium is free but admission will be on a first-come-first-serve basis.
The invite for the celebration was sent out by none other than mentor Sachin Tendulkar. In a tweet on Monday morning, the legendary cricketer requested fans to join him and other members of the franchise at the Wankhede Stadium from 8pm onwards. Members of the side returned to the city in batches through Monday after winning the title in Kolkata on Sunday night. The party began there and then with a showering of confetti and colourful fireworks over the Eden sky hailing the epic triumph.
