India Squad Announcement: Karun Nair Dropped As India Name New Vice-Captain vs West Indies

The BCCI on Thursday announced Team India's 15-man squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against West Indies, starting October 2 at home. With Rishabh Pant out of action due to a fracture, Ravindra Jadeja was named vice-captain for the matches in Ahmedabad and Delhi, respectively. Pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has been included despite concerns over his fitness. On the other hand, batter Karun Nair was dropped by the selectors after low returns with the bat in England earlier this year. There was also no place in the team for Sarfaraz Khan, who is currently injured.
