Indescribable. For us to do it for the first time is indescribable. It has been very tough to compete with the Indian boys in their conditions. We tried to learn and adapt, and be a bit more positive in these conditions. For it to pay off like this feels amazing. (On getting used to Indian conditions because of IPL) It does get easy but you can never fully learn the conditions until you are here. At the end of the day, Mitch was bowling absolutely brilliantly and it was about holding the other end for us and let Santner do his thing. 

New Zealand had been really dominating in this series and deservingly won the three-match series against India. New Zealand, having won the opening match by 8 wickets, celebrated their first-ever series victory in India since touring here in 1955-56 under Harry Cave.

With the series defeat, India's record of 18 consecutive bilateral home series wins have come to an end - the longest such sequence for any team. Back in 2012, India lost 1-2 against Alastair Cook-led England in the 2012-13 season.

New Zealand (259 & 255) defeated India (156 & 245) by 113 runs in the second Test in Pune. For New Zealand, Mitchell Santner scalped seven and six wickets while Ajaz Patel scalped two. For India, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 77 while Ravindra Jadeja scored 42. Earlier, Tom Latham scored 80 runs while Devon Conway scored 76 as New Zealand maintained their dominance in the game. With this win, New Zealand have clinched the three-match Test series 2-0. This is the first time since 2012 that India lost a Test series at home. 

OUT!!! Ajaz Patel has provided New Zealand with their ninth wicket as he dismissed Akash Deep for one. Akash tries to go for a big hit but his shot lacks timing and strength as the ball lands into the hands of Rachin Ravindra at the long-on. Ninth wicket gone for India as New Zealand need just one wicket  more to win the match.

Rohit did not even try to move as the ball crosses the boundary and goes for a four. With this, New Zealand goes past the 200-run mark.

The play on Day 3 of the second Test between India and New Zealand begins. For New Zealand, Tom Blundell (30*) and Glenn Phillips (9*) will be resuming the proceedings for 198/5. The visitors currently lead by 301 runs as the duo will look to continue with the strong partnership and take New Zealand towards a huge total. On the other hand, Ravindra Jadeja will be bowling the first over of the day for India as the hosts are eyeing some quick wickets.

Ahead of the beginning of play on Day 3, former India captain Anil Kumble advises Rohit Sharma to open the bowling with spinners in the first session. According to Kumble, Rohit should use the in-form Washington Sundar and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja as the opening bowlers today. Sundar is in terrific form as he first scalped seven wickets and has already taken four wickets on Day 2. 

"With the natural progression of the pitch, it's going to turn more. Cracks have widened slightly more. Looks more abrasive. If you don't have the sweep in your armoury, what you need to do is step out. Santner has a cluster on a good length and you can't deal with that from the crease."

All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and pacer Jasprit Bumrah are yet to open their wicket tally in the ongoing game. Bumrah, who is currently the No 1 Test bowler in the world, failed to scalp a wicket in the first innings. However, the duo will now aim to get some wickets on Day 3 and help Team India bundle out New Zealand at the earliest. 

The first task and the foremost task for Team India on Day 3 is to bundle out New Zealand at the earliest. As the visitors are already leading by 301, the going will only tougher for Rohit Sharma and co from here. However, the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Washington Sundar, and Ravichandran Ashwin will be in focus today. The bowlers need to scalp quick wickets for India. 

Team India miserably failed with the bat on Day 2. With skipper Rohit Sharma getting bowled out for duck, Ravindra Jadeja became the highest run-scorer with 38 runs. Resulting which, India got bundled out 156. Currently trailing by 301 runs, Rohit Sharma and co will aim to bounce back, in order to avoid the series loss. 

India had a horrific outing on Day 2 as the Rohit Sharma-led side got bundled out for 156 after leaking 259 runs with the ball. Later in the second innings, New Zealand once again gained the momentum and scored 198/5 at stumps. Currently, Tom Blundell (30*) and Glenn Phillips (9*) at standing unbeaten at the crease as the visitors lead by 301 runs.
