Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma took a cheeky dig with reference to the Indian Premier League (IPL) at Ravindra Jadeja on Day 2 of the third Test match against England in Rajkot. Jadeja did not have a good outing with the ball after scoring a century and the all-rounder ended up conceding 33 runs in 4 overs with two no-balls. During the 31st over of the England innings, Jadeja bowled two no-balls to Joe Root and Rohit commented that he never bowls these many no-balls in the IPL and joked that he should think that it is a T20 game and bowl accordingly.
"Yaar, ye Jadeja IPL mein to itne no-balls nahi dalta. T20 samajh ke bowling kar, Jaddu. (Man, Jadeja doesn't bowl this many no-balls in IPL. Think it's a T20 game and bowl)," Rohit said to Jadeja.
Meanwhile, opener Ben Duckett smashed a century to lead England's attacking reply of 207-2 on Friday after Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin reached 500 Test wickets.
The left-handed Duckett reached his third Test hundred in 88 balls as England reached 207-2 to cut their deficit after they bowled out India for 445 on day two in Rajkot.
Duckett, on 133, and Joe Root, on nine, were batting at close of play. The tourists still trail India by 238 runs.
Duckett came out roaring and, despite a hostile opening spell by the Indian quicks, hit regular boundaries in his 80-ball opening stand of 84 with Zak Crawley.
Ashwin took down Crawley after tea for his 500th Test wicket, becoming only the ninth international bowler and second Indian after Anil Kumble (619) to reach the milestone.
