First Test, Day 4: Cook, Prior pile on the agony for a lethargic team India

Barring a few spells from Zaheer Khan, Umesh Yadav and Pragyan Ojha, England dominated the day's proceedings with aplomb and managed to grab a slender 10 run lead over the hosts in the first Test match of the series.

The day began on a decent note for Team India as Zaheer Khan, who was seemingly unlucky not to get a wicket earlier, trapped debutant Nick Compton in front. Zak was in the middle of a fine spell when skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni introduced spinners from both ends. (Photo credit: BCCI)

It was then Pragyan Ojha's turn to push for a man-of-the-match award. He first took Jonathan Trott's wicket with a peach of a delivery. Soon after Trott's dismissal, Kevin Pietersen showed again that he did not like playing against left-arm spinners. A tumbling and imbalanced sweep shot off Ojha landed nearly in the block-hole and bowled him neck-and-crop. Disaster had struck England. (Photo credit: BCCI)
