# Rohit Sharma now holds the record for the both sixes by a batsman in an ODI innings. He smashed 16 maximums on his way to 209, eclipsing Shane Watson's 15 made against Bangladesh in 2011.
# Rohit Sharma is only the third batsman in the history of ODI cricket to score a double hundred. It was Sachin Tendulkar (200) who touched the milestone for the first time against South Africa in 2010 and then Virender Sehwag (219) bettered that by making 219 against the West Indies in Indore in 2011.
# Rohit Sharma's 209-run knock is the second highest total by an individual in ODIs and it came off just 158 balls.
# Rohit Sharma hit just 12 boundaries in comparision to his 16 sixes. His century came in 114 balls and his next 109 runs were scored off just 57 deliveries.
# India scored 100 runs in the last five overs as Sharma and skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni (62 off 38) carted the Aussie bowlers around the park. They added 167 runs for the fifth wicket, which is a record against Australia.
# India's 383 for six is their highest ever total against Australia.
