Since making his India debut during the tour of Ireland last year, Rinku Singh has been making constant strides in international cricket. Batting down the order, Rinku has developed a knack of finishing games for India. His T20I scores read -- 38, 37, 22, 31, 46, 6, 68, 14, and 16 so far, scoring 278 runs from nine innings at a wonderful average of 69.50. The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter played an important cameo on Thursday as India defeated Afghanistan by six wickets in the first T20I in Mohali.
With the second game scheduled to be played in Indore on Sunday, both teams reached the city on the same flight on Friday, ahead of the game at the Holkar Stadium.
During the journey, Rinku's KKR teammate Rahmanullah Gurbaz was seen poking fun at the India batter while he was taking a nap.
While Gurbaz interrupted Rinku's nap, but what followed was an adorable moment between the two players, who are expected to play a key role for KKR in the upcoming season.
The video of the same incident has now gone viral on social media.
After the match in Mohali, shed light on his chat with Dhoni, and how his learnings have helped him to shape his game as per the requirement of the international game.
"I try to talk to myself, and tell myself that anything can happen when I bat at No. 6. In the last IPL, I spoke to Mahi bhai, and he said the more you remain calm the better it is. Try to see what the bowler is doing and react accordingly. If I think too much, things can go wrong for me (laughs), so I see what the bowler is doing instead," Rinku said on Sports 18 after the match.
India lead the three-match series 1-0. The series-decider will be played on Wednesday in Bengaluru.
The ongoing T20I series is the last white-ball assignment for Team India ahead of this year's T20 World Cup.
